Power Punch for Parkinson's
The Parkinson Association is thrilled at how quickly the newest boxing class is gaining attention and momentum. The class, held at 2915 High St. every Saturday at 10:00am, is already becoming a smashing hit - and it started only three weeks ago! Studies show that non-contact boxing is a very effective form of exercise for people with Parkinson's disease and is shown to improve speed, reaction time and balance. Boxing training has been growing in recent years due to the success of the programs and the Parkinson Association is looking to create more boxing classes throughout the state.
Are you interested in trying your hand in boxing? A liability waiver from a doctor is required and a fee is associated with the class. Space is limited, contact the Parkinson Association for more information at (303) 830-1839. |
