Note from the Executive Director

I would like to extend a special thanks to all of the walkers at the Association's 2014 Annual Vitality Walk and to their supporters. Throughout the past year, the Colorado Parkinson's community has shown up in force and acted in unison. Whether at the Global Community Conference in Keystone, the Research Forum in Lakewood, the Chat with the (Parkinson's) Pros in Pueblo, a support group in Longmont, a community fundraiser, or a Tremble Clefs program in Boulder, each and every one of you is making a difference in your own lives and the lives of others. I applaud you for showing up, supporting and strengthening our community. While a strong community is commendable, you have created a warm and caring environment that dares to define Parkinson's rather than let Parkinson's define you.  Your tenacity continues to push the Parkinson Association of the Rockies to new levels with more visionary goals.

In the immediate future, the Association plans to start a boxing program, improve PDLife by adding new innovative functionality, reach out to rural areas of Colorado through teleconferencing and to add more depth and substance to educational programs including the annual E3: Educate, Empower, Energize Conference. We look forward to continually raising the bar of excellence that you have set for this organization. Thank you.

Cheryl Siefert, MNM
