Research in Colorado
"PaGeR"- Parkinson disease Genetic Research
This study is sponsored by National Institute of Health and is aimed to identify possible environmental and genetic risk factors for Parkinson disease.
Who can be enrolled in this study? Patients with Parkinson disease who have at least one alive relative affected by Parkinson disease (if relative does not live in Colorado arrangements can be made for that relative to be seen). The study involves a single 90-minute visit, with neurological examination, questionnaires and a blood draw. The blood samples collected in this project will be used for current and future genetic research studies to discover new genes that cause Parkinson disease.
For more information, contact Wendi Legg at (303) 724-8305 or email.
