Statement from the Sons of Italy on the Passing of Doug Flutie's Parents
November 19, 2015 Washington, D.C.
The Sons of Italy Foundation®, the Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) and our hundreds of thousands of family members throughout the United States mourn the tragic passing yesterday of the parents of former NFL star quarterback Doug Flutie. As partners with the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, the Sons of Italy Foundation/OSIA have worked closely and collaboratively with Doug for a number of years in a joint campaign to alleviate the severe effects of this illness and to ultimately find its cure. We know Doug to be a conscientious, giving and loving parent, husband and son. Our deepest prayers and condolences are with him and the entire Flutie family at this very sad time.
