Dear Friends of King's Chapel,

Yesterday many of you may have received an email purportedly sent from our Senior Warden, Cliff Allen, asking for money because he was in dire straits in Manilla. It's false. Cliff is fine.

This was a hacker scam, that copied and then deleted all of Cliff's contacts. Because he is unable to contact you himself to warn you about the scam, he has reached out to the many organizations in which he is involved and asked them to notify potential recipients of the hacked, false email.

If you received such an email, do not respond to it. Do not send money. Delete it and empty your "trash" so the email is not in your computer system.

What you can do for Cliff is hold him in your prayers. Cleaning up after a hacker attack is not a fun way for anyone to spend these August days of summer.
