SOCIAL MEDIAPlease share your events, celebrations and new programs - large or small - with us often. Send photos - the CarChiCoa Twitter and Instagram pages are updated daily, as is the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Facebook page. Welcome back your staff, or introduce the new folks working with you this year. We want to share your success, the more traffic these sites have the more effective they are.
DBC OPEN POOL FUNDS
Congratulations to those Communities who were able to be involved with the initial applications to the new DBC open pool funding. We look forward to hearing what initiatives will be taking place throughout the CCCTA in this regard. Congratulations to those communities and sectors who were able to use this opportunity.
SOLVING THE STAFFING CRISIS IN BC TOURISM
If you are having trouble recruiting new staff,
please review the current CCCTA Newsletter from Amy Thacker for the application forms. Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association has partnered with go2HR to pilot a collaborative and unique job recruitment initiative aimed at helping tourism business' find employees in an ever increasing competitive market. CCCTA/go2HR has developed two avenues for recruitment and are looking for your commitment. Review the newsletter for the links to the forms or contact our offices.
FESTIVAL & EVENTS
The Festival and Events and the Consumer Shows campaigns will come to an end March 31, 2016. This past year saw the 89th Williams Lake Stampede, Quesnel Skyfest, the South Cariboo Garlic Festival and The Arts Wells Programs successfully produce events and experiences with support from our co-op marketing program ~ bringing many new travellers to and through our Region.
Enthusiastic about your new programs? New expansions? Please share with us at the CCCTA.
CONCLUSION
During 2016 we hope to upscale the marketing newsletter so that it becomes more of a practical and useful tool and source of information for you. Any suggestions that you have in what you would like to see would be taken in a very positive light.
Times are a changing and we must change with them. As the CCCTA Staff - in particular myself - becoming more effective I hope to have more personal contact with each of you this coming season and hopefully visit more of your facilities. Personal experiences feed our ability to best promote this region and your businesses.
