Welcome to the new year... Let's hit the ground running!

From all of us here at the CCCTA office, we hope your holidays were merry, bright and filled with time spent with family and friends.  Now that the festivities are over it's time to focus on the year ahead of us, and further.

CCCTA AGM in review
Prior to the holiays the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism office hosted our annual tourism summit and annual general meeting. It was a whirlwind couple of days with weather delays and impromptu rescheduling of speakers, it was also packed with lots of networking, learning and interactivity.

Here's a quick refresher on how it all went down according to our media release issued December 10th.
DBC Brand Unveiling
During our tourism summit Marsha Walden, the CEO of Destination BC, presented the new provincial brand to our stakeholders, and took part in a Q&A.  The aptly named Tourism Discovery Centre in Williams Lake was the venue for the presentation that evening where many had the chance to ask their questions in an informal setting.  We're still very much looking forward to working with our colleagues and couterparts at DBC in leading the direction the new brand will take us to represent our full province and everything it has to offer.

Here is a quick glance at the strategy.
Canada Top Country In The World
Just in case you had any doubts, the Canadian Tourism Commission has recently confirmed Canada as the #1 country in the world to live in, visit, study in and attend events.  I think that's something we've known all along, however it's nice to get confirmation.

You can read the rest of what the CTC has to say by visiting this link to the full story.
We are looking forward to what the year ahead brings us.  You can also count on our office doing everything we can to help your businesses succeed in showing off what we have to the world.

Sincerely,
