|LL.M. Alumna Presents Scholarly Findings at National Crime Victims Conference |
Alice B. Lustre (LL.M. '10)
will be a presenter at the National Crime Victim's Conference in June 2013. Her research is based directly on a directed research project Alice undertook as part of her LL.M. in Prosecutorial Science at Chapman University School of Law. Alice is a California Deputy Attorney General. Alice's research focuses on gaps in the current system and will provide recommendations for remedial action as they apply to victims on capital litigations. Learn more.
|Chapman's Historic Bar Pass Rate|
In December, Chapman University School of Law celebrated its highest California bar pass rate in its history! A record 82% of first time takers passed the state bar taken in July 2012. Their success is a testament to the hard work and dedication that the students put into their own studies. Professor Mario Mainero
, Director of Bar Services at the law school, and his team of professors and other alumni put in combined hundreds of hours to read and critique over 3,000 essays submitted by our students to help prepare them for the 3-day exam. Learn more.
|Chapman Mediation Teams Continue to Win...Internationally!|
Congratulations to the Chapman Law Competition Teams who have won numerous awards at the ABA Representation in Mediation Competition allowing them to compete in the National ABA Mediation Competition in Chicago this April. BREAKING NEWS:
Chapman Law International Mediation Champions! Chapman Law won the overall first place team award for mediation. This is the first time Chapman has ever won the top mediation team award in Dublin, Ireland at the International Law School Mediation Tournament! Learn more.

has been elected to a partnership at Paul Hastings. He is the first person in several years at the firm to make partner after only 7 years of practice.Jeff Greenman ('06)
was first ever recipient of the "Rising Star" award from the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles for recognition of his hard work and litigation success.Lauren Mayfield ('10) and Darrel J. Greenwald ('10)
were featured in a Los Angeles Daily Journal article on December 26, 2012 entitled, "Recent Bar Graduates Increasingly Hanging their own Shingles." The article details their success starting a law firm in a poor economy.Michael Loesevitz ('11)
has been offered a position as shareholder at Camrud, Maddock, Olson & Larson, Ltd beginning on January 1, 2013. Their typical partnership track is usually five years but Michael has made this happen in just a little over two years with the firm.Jered Ede ('10)

Professor Rob Morrow
has an interesting way of teaching, to say the least. Instead of focusing solely on a barrage of appellate case law in his mandatory Federal Income Tax class, he strategically ties his lectures to popular culture. For example, Gandalf, Gollum and the Eye of Sauron-popular characters in The Lord of the Rings trilogy-are simply metaphors for various components of tax law. Learn more.
