Host Family Needed!!!
We are in need of a host family for an 8th grade Chinese student expected to start March 1st. There is an $800 dollar a month stipend to the host family for room and board. The student's family pays the rest of their expenses. The student will stay with the host family till the end of the school year. You would need to provide transportation to and from school each day (by car or bus). Please contact the school office if you are interested!!!

LET'S SPREAD THE WORD! PLEASE HELP
Our Open Houses are this month on February 24th, 25th and 26th. We want to invite many families to join us on that day to find out about the wonderful reasons for their child to come to ODCA. You can help in several ways:
Lawn signs - We have them in the office so pick one up and post it for people to see.
Invite people - If there is a family you know who may be interested in coming....give them a personal invitation.
Join us - We could use a few volunteers those days to help us make families feel welcome, provide refreshments or give tours.
Contact the office if there is any way you can help with the Open Houses!

RALLY NIGHT - RESCHEDULED!!!!
The Rally Night was rescheduled for THIS Thursday, February 25th at 7:00pm. We are combining the Rally Night with an opportunity for parents to view the Science Fair displays. Parents will be able to go to the gym at 6:30 pm to view the displays and then will go to the "blue" room next to the gym for our meeting. The Rally Night meeting will be a chance to hear from our students, parents and faculty and discuss the upcoming changes in our enrollment procedures. We will be providing childcare during the meeting. Please RSVP to the office if you are able to attend. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

ODPA NEWS....
Looking for some sweet treats to share with your family at Easter time? Did you know that Claire's Gourmet has wonderful cakes and pies? The sweetest treat of all; our school receives 50% of the proceeds! That's right, 50%! So order some tasty treats and help support our school! Catalogs went home today!
HELP NEEDED!
Sharon Mack graciously coordinated the gift and note bags for the school plays for the past several years. She is looking for a replacement parent as her daughter is graduating this year. Please call Sharon Mack (267-575-1706) if interested! We can apply your volunteer time towards your service hours. Please don't let this wonderful service be canceled due to a lack of a coordinator. Sharon is willing to train and assist you.
Also, Joyce Brown is looking for about 5 volunteers to help set up, prepare and serve food from 8:00 am till 11:30 am on March 10th for our new Pastor's Breakfast. Science Day  February 26, 2016
Science Day is coming!!
It's not too late to sign up!! If your child did not sign up to complete a project, but would still like to, please send in a note! Students will receive 3 "Dress Down Day" cards as well as a certificate for participating! We are excited to see the students' projects next week! All projects MUST be turned in by Thursday, February 24. The gym will be open for parents to see the projects on Thursday evening. There will be an all school science assembly next Friday, February 25 at 9:15. Feel free to join us!
Science day will include time to view student projects and do some hands-on activities with the help of the middle school students. We are looking forward to a fun day! Minimal help is needed, so there will not be a sign up genius, BUT you can contact Shelby Murwin in the office if you are interested in helping in any way. Next Tuesday we will send home a number with each student who is participating. Please place that number on the front of their board. Display boards are available to borrow in the office.

We need toys....are you cleaning out?
Our Pre-School 3 year old classroom is in need of some gently used and clean toys. Many of our toys are well worn and loved and we would like to freshen our supply. We can use large and small manipulatives, kitchen food and supplies or other items you may have that are in great condition.
