Follow these steps to upgrade to SureSync 7.0

  1. Review the Upgrade Instructions:  The SureSync 7.0 upgrade instructions provide a comprehensive list of steps to take when moving your replication environment to the new version. For example, you will need to consider if you should consider a "Staged Upgrade" or "In Place Upgrade". You can download the Upgrade Instructions PDF here. 
  2. Learn about the New Features: You can learn more about the new features version 7.0 provides by visiting the SureSync 7.0 New Features page.  
  3. SureSync License File: It is extremely important that you obtain a SureSync 7.0 license file before upgrading. To obtain an upgraded license file, please review the Upgrade License File Instructions.
  4. Download SureSync 7.0: Once you have completed the steps above, you can now download SureSync 7.0. You may consider bookmarking the download page for future releases. You must obtain a version 7.0 license file before you are able to use the new version.

Do You Know SureSync 7.0?

Single Port Usage

SureSync 7 introduces a single port requirement for SureSync. No longer does each Job, Schedule or Real-Time Monitor using a Communication Agent consume a port in a range. All SureSync 7 components communicate over a single port (TCP 9033 by default). This eases setup and reduces firewall configuration. You can also now run more Schedules or Monitors from a single machine without having to expand the port range.

 

SureSync SQL Protection 
SureSync 7.0 will be offering many new solutions to create a complete Data Protection and Availability suite of products. One of the new offerings coming very soon is SureSync SQL Protection.

The release of SureSync 7.0 introduces a new ribbon style menu that will showcase new solutions you can implement from one single interface. The first of those offerings is SureSync SQL Protection which will provide you the benefit of creating backup copies of your Microsoft SQL Server databases. And you can do it right from the SureSync desktop! SureSync SQL Protection will offer two editions (Standard & Pro), giving you the flexibility to create backups locally or to remote DR facilities.

Version 6.0 Download & Support
SureSync File Synchronization & Replication
The last published version of 6.0 is currently 6.0.39.

If you are going to continue using SureSync 6.0, it is strongly recommended you are using the most current version.

Support for version 6.0:
Support for SureSync version 6.x will be ending March 16, 2014. We recommend that you upgrade your SureSync environment before this date to continue using a supported version of SureSync.
