Nominations - Bruce Cabral Scholarship

       Each year ALERT International provides an educational scholarship in honor of Past President and Charter Member Bruce Cabral to children of ALERT Members.  As of this date we do not have any applications for our 2016 Scholarship.

        This scholarship is open to any current (paid up) member of ALERT International.  So if you have son or daughter that is in college and would benefit from a financial scholarship please go to www.alertinternational.com under the "About" button on the menu bar is more information or click here and it will take you to that site.

       We MUST have all applications by September 1, 2016.  Should you have any questions please contact President Liebno at [email protected].

Z-Man Award

      Officer Mark Y. Zylawy, "Z-Man", a highly regarded Portland police officer, died January 27, 2008 in a tragic and untimely accident at the age of 40. He worked as a district officer in Northeast Portland for 17 years with passion, dedication and enthusiasm throughout his career.  For more information about Mark and this annual award go to www.alertinternational.com under the "About" button on the Main Menu bar is additional information and an application form to nominate someone.

      We will be accepting 2016 Z-Man Award nominees until September 5, 2016.  So if you work with someone, know someone or have heard that a particular person has met the requirements to be considered a recipient of this most prestigious award please go to the above website or click here and complete the application.

      
ALERT International Training Symposium/Conference

        If you have not registered for the ALERT International 2016
 Training Symposium/ Conference (September 26-29, 2016) you are about to miss out on one of the most beneficial and informational training events available to EVO instructors. DO NOT delay any longer go to www.alertconference.org to complete your registration today. Also, while on the Conference Website check out the Conference Itinerary. 

       The Hilton Savannah DeSoto is the site of this year's Training Symposium/Conference. There may not be any rooms left at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto.  ALERT International has arranged for some additional rooms at two other hotels in the Historic District near the Savannah Water Front, which is about 5-6 blocks a very easy walk, to the Hilton DeSoto.  But DO NOT delay any longer in making your reservations to ensure you have a room.  Once the current block of rooms are gone ALERT will not be able to reserve any additional rooms. Go to www.alertconference.org and check out the information under the "Hotel" button.

    FYI...for those that requested Below 100, we have over 35 folks you have registered.  So that program will be presented on Friday, September 30th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Thank you for signing up for this outstanding course.  Both the Below 100 course and the Below 100 Instructor course will be presented.  If you only want the Below 100 course that is the morning (ONLY) session.

FLETC Entry Forms - Wednesday or the Conference

     Also, VERY IMPORTANT....A MUST DO....if you have not  completed the FLETC Entry Form you MUST do so immediately. The information for the FLETC Entry Forms is on the same page as the Conference Registration (www.alertconference.org click the
Registration Button)  however, you must scroll down the page to get to the information for the FLETC Entry forms.  If you do not complete (must print an actually sign prior to submitting) and forward this form to Mary Sue Harper, FLETC, you will not be allowed to participate on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.  The entire conference program on Sept. 28th is at FLETC, Glynco, Georgia.  Don't miss out get that form(s) in today.
