Nominations for Office of Vice President and Treasurer
  
   
   This announcement is being posted as a period for "nominations" per requirements of ALERT International's ByLaws...to solicit nominations for the 2016-2018 Board of Directors positions of Vice President and Treasurer. If there is anyone who would like to throw their hat, or someone else's hat in as a candidate nominee forward their name to info@alertinternational.com by April 15, 2016.
  
   During May 2015 a final listing of the candidates for each office will be posted along with a ballot for "current" members to vote for their desired candidate for each office for the next two years.  So if you have not renew your membership for 2016 make sure you do so before May 1, 2015 or you will not receive a ballot allowing you to participate in this most important decision for the future of YOUR Association.
  

  Annual Training Symposium/Conference

   The ALERT International 2016 Training Symposium/Conference (September 26-29, 2016) is being hosted by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department with support from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.  The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glenco, Georgia has arranged for the conference attendees to spend an entire day at their training site.

   The Hilton Savannah DeSoto will be the site of the 2016 Training Symposium/Conference.  Registration for the conference and reservation information for the Hilton DeSoto will be posted on www.alertconference.org starting March 25, 2016.  Actual Registration for the conference will open April 4, 2016.


People Are Getting Sick From GM SUVs

   Full-size GM SUVs are reportedly making people sick. Some 2015 Chevy Tahoes and Suburbans, plus Cadillac Escalades and GMC Yukons have a vibration problem that's bad enough it can make drivers and passengers dizzy, or suffer from a severe headache or ear pain. Some owners have also described a buffeting sensation, like when one window is left at least partway down while going freeway speeds.  Read more: InsideCar News
   

Police Involved Shooting..."failure to train issue"
