New Sermon Series - Father Knows Best
On January 10th & 11th, we begin a new series called Father Knows Best. There is pressure from all sides influencing us to make certain choices or decisions that may not be in line with the kind of direction God would give us. So how do we know what our heavenly Father would think is best when it comes to who to trust, what path to take for the future, life's purpose, how to handle blessings and who and how to love? This series is a great way to start the new year off by looking to our Father for the best guidance. In honor of our new series we want to know from you, the congregation, what is some of the best knowledge or advice your father has ever given you? Service Time Changes Take note that starting January 3rd & 4th we will have new Sunday service times to help with the parking lot as construction of our new facility continues. Services times will be Saturday at 5:45pm, and Sunday at 8:00am, 9:10am & 10:40am. Remember, the Saturday night 5:45 service and Sunday morning 8:00 service remain unchanged. |
Concerts at Mt. Horeb - Rend Collective
Rend Collective will be the first concert of 2015 featured by Concerts at Mt. Horeb, taking place on January 25th at 7PM. United Methodist Men's Retreat
In order to make a difference in the Kingdom of God, we have to be willing to put skin in the game. It will cost something, but it will be worth it! The men of Mt Horeb will be traveling to Myrtle Beach to take part in a conference wide men's event February 20-22. This weekend is sure to be a life changer and you do not want to miss it! The event will be held at Christ UMC and feature guest speakers Bishop Jonathan Holston, Rev. John Ed Mathison, Albert Long and Adrian Despres, among others. There will be time for fellowship alongside the challenging messages and worship. We will be staying at a nearby hotel (breakfast provided) for two nights and eating meals in the area. Children's Baptism Class
Beginning in 2015 Mt. Horeb will be offering a class for all families are interested in having their children baptized. Our first class will be January 11 from 5:00-5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
