BAC Wins Service Award
|
On November 8th, BAC was presented the L.E. Tuckwiller award by the Boone Chamber for outstanding community service. This was presented at the Watauga Farm City Banquet. Noted accomplishments in our recognition for this award include the 3000+ volunteer hours in the construction of Rocky Knob Park, involvement with Town and County leaders in the construction of Bike Lanes, Greenways, and other infrastructure, and our community-minded events such as Cyclo.Via. Thanks to all in our cycling community who has helped with our events and initiatives. This award shows that BAC is making a difference!

Rocky Knob Fest and TKMBD

Rocky Knob has hosted two great events this Fall. On October 6th, we had a great day again for IMBA Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. The Rocky Knob Blog has posted a feature story and pics of the TKMBD event. On October 27th, The ASU Recreation Management Association welcomed over 200 individuals to the Rocky Knob Fest, a Fall Mountain Bike Festival. The RKP Facebook page has some great images of the RKP Fest. Thanks to all the volunteers!
