Alaska Cruise Tour is a HUGE SUCCESS!!
Fourteen very fortunate people just returned from an incredible adventure to Alaska which combined a five night land trip and a seven night cruise. We all met in Fairbanks and enjoyed a morning on the Riverboat Discovery with a stop at Chena Village. We rode on Royal Caribbean's Wilderness Express from Fairbanks to Denali, took an 8 hour tour through Denali National Park to see wildlife and incredible scenery and stayed overnight in the park. From there we headed to Anchorage where we visited the Native Alaskan Heritage Center and had plenty of time to check out some great restaurants and do some
shopping.
We then headed to Seward which proved to be a beautiful scenic drive and arrived at our lodge for the night on the shores of Resurrection Bay. The next morning we were treated to a cruise on Resurrection Bay where we enjoyed listening to the naturalist on board as she described the sea life and birds. A little free time for lunch and then it was time to board Radiance of the Seas, our home for the next seven nights. We visited Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Icy Strait Point. Some of us were brave enough to go up in a helicopter, others went out on crab boats, several rode the White Pass & Yukon Railway and went on whale watching boats. We did not let the rain dampen our spirits or fun and a fantastic time was had by all.
An Alaskan Cruise Tour is one of the best accessible vacation choices for persons with physical disabilities and we encourage you to give it a go.
