Ireland Tour a Huge Success!!!
If you missed our accessible trip to Ireland, you missed an amazing time. Ten of us traveled from Dublin to Galway, the rugged Connemara coastline to Kylemore Abbey, Limerick, Dingle, the Ring of Kerry, Adare, Killarney (Tralee) and back to Dublin. We were blessed with great weather the majority of the time and, even better, with 10 fantastic participants. Everyone bonded and got along and enjoyed each other's company. Read my full report and see pictures by clicking here.... Where would you like to visit? Perhaps we can put a tour together in the future to your dream destination. We are strongly considering Israel for fall, 2015 so please let us know if you are interested. |
RCCL's Navigator of the Seas
Rave Reviews on her Recent Refurbishment
We were invited to a special Travel Industry Event on board the newly refurbished Navigator of the Seas which is currently sailing seven night Western Caribbean itineraries year round from Galveston, TX. I had been on the Navigator in December, 2013 so was really able to appreciate the fantastic upgrades and changes that took place. The ship underwent a complete redecorating and the staterooms are resplendent in shades of blue. It is very fresh and calming. I had the pleasure of staying in a brand new category of cabin....an ocean view panoramic with an entire curved wall of floor to ceiling windows on Deck 12. My cabin was accessible so even larger than most. I was happy to have vanity space in the bathroom which is not often found in accessible cabins. I also viewed the new inside cabin with a virtual balcony. This was very cool and will be just the answer for someone who wants to save money but doesn't want an inside cabin. The live feed video had me fooled! The ship now has a Flow Rider Surf Simulator and an outdoor movie screen in the main pool area. New specialty restaurants have been added including Sabor serving gourmet Mexican Cuisine. The table side preparation of fresh guacamole was superb as well as delicious! A highlight for me was being invited to dine with Vicki Freed, RCCL's Director of Sales & Marketing, and meeting Adam Goldstein, President and CEO. I let them both know how important it is to continue their unparalleled commitment to cruisers with disabilities.
