LANGUAGE ARTS

We had a funny story about P. Mooney and the Gasless Goose.  As always, P. Mooney was helping someone in need.

We also figured out the best home for the animals we had pictures of.  Some lived in the forest.  Others in a barn or in  a tree.  We had fun deciding if the place I suggested was a smart guess.

BEAN PLANT

Here is a picture of one of the bean plants that grew from a single seed.  It was a wonderful experience for the children.  You may have an avid gardener in your home now!

GOOD-BYES

It will be sad for Mrs. Bibler and me to need to say good-bye.  We love each of those little people, but hope to see them all in PS4 in the fall, having grown some more.  Thanks for sharing them with us.

BIBLETIME

Monday we began a quick character study of confidence.  Our bible story was about Gideon and the unusual battle equipment God had him use.  Tuesday our everyday story was about a little boy who was afraid to get up in front of people in a program.  After his mother convinced him that God was with him and would help him, he did his part well.
Our God is awesome!


             TIME RUSHES ON!

We only have 2 more days of school!  :(
Here are the plans for the rest of this school year:

May 13  RODEO day.  We will try to do all this outdoors.  We will have the children use my stick horse for barrel racing contests.  There will also be a horseshoe match, roping animals, and "shooting" down cans.  Each activity will have meets with two at a time.  Then the winners of those heats will compete.  It should be great fun!  Be sure to bring a camera.  I may be too busy to take pictures. 

Munchkin the horse is coming to school for us to ride!  Not sure of time yet, but it will probably be about 9:30 or 10.  Feel free to come and spend the day.  We will have a short Bibletime and maybe sing a song, but will soon begin the rodeo, whether the horse ride is first or the games.  Parents are strongly encouraged to come.  Preschool rodeos are exciting!

May 14  Day at Kelly Park.  Parents bring children to the park for playtime and a picnic from 9 til 11:30.  Parents are welcome to stay longer with their children.

If you would like to bring something for the picnic, let me know.  Allegra will be the leader so will have the regular snack, but we may want to bring something special.
