Election Expo

If the Election tonight ends with a tie in the Electoral College, students in Mrs. Cathy Zink's fifth grade class know who will be appointed President and Vice President.  They have been studying the election process and completed the unit with an Election Expo featuring their opinion on an issue, research paper on a President, a political cartoon and Election Day newspaper coverage.

Wind Turbine Update

Here's the spin...  The Wind Turbine is currently undergoing "Commissioning."  During this process the turbine must successfully operate for 30 days before it is turned over to Kenston.  With the recent weather and wind speeds exceeding 50 mph, it will be extended.

The Wind Turbine is programmed to shut down when wind speed exceeds 50 mph.  Also, shutdown will occur if there is a power outage on the electrical grid.  This is a safety feature to insure there is no power going out onto the grid while workers are repairing the lines.
