Help the Confirmation Class
The confirmation class is planning to bake cookies and make platters and then go Christmas caroling in our church neighborhood to deliver the cookies along with an invitation for people to attend our Christmas Eve service.
We are asking for donations of ingredients to make the cookies ...
anything that usually goes into a cookie will help. Examples include: flour, sugar, butter, eggs, oatmeal, candy, brown sugar, chocolate, shortening, powdered sugar, etc. No nuts please.
We need these items as soon as possible. There will be a box in the Narthex for donations. Thank you for all the support you give these students! Kathryn Triemstra

UMW Annual Cookie Walk

Next Saturday, Dec 8, from 9am to noon.
WE NEED COOKIES!
We are asking all the ladies of the church (and men too) to make lots of cookies. We would like to have 10 to 12 dozen from each of you, but will accept any amount you can make. PLEASE, no chocolate chip cookies or store-bought cookies. We need tasty, beautiful, holiday, home made cookies.

Ruth Circle is again selling Friendship Soup Mix.
Prices are $4.50 for pints and $8.00 for quarts.
There is a sign-up sheet on the Welcome Center in the Narthex or you may call Katie Gielow at 874-7966 to place your order. Orders may be picked up on Sunday, Dec 9, between services. However, if you need them sooner, just give Katie a call and she will work out a delivery plan for you. Remember, soup mixes make a practical gift for those on your shopping list.

Patriotic Christmas Tree
This year, we will only put lights on our Patriotic Tree in the Narthex. We are asking people to donate a patriotic ornament of their choice in memory of or in honor of someone who has served their country in the Armed Forces. Please attach this person's name to this ornament. If it can't be put on the ornament, it can be put on a tag that can be attached to the ornament. If you have questions, call Maryann in the church office (872-7200).

|
Mitten Christmas Tree
We will again have our mitten tree in the Narthex. All donations on the mitten tree go to the Salvation Army or wherever they are needed.
We need gloves or mittens, scarves, and hats.
Let's try to keep everyone warm this winter.
