Welcome to
First United Methodist Church
of Michigan City
Greetings!
This Sunday we will be taking in four new members into our family of faith. One is coming by transfer from another Methodist Church and one is coming by profession of faith. Be here to help us welcome these new "Firsters" into our congregation:
8:15am Ardele Wozniak
Carrie & Raymond Richardson
10:45am June Kabel
We will continue with our "Walk with John" this Sunday as we look at the 3rd Chapter of 1st John. Come and hear the Word of God as it leads us closer to His path as we seek to walk the walk of faith.
Remember your two homework assignments from last Sunday; Watch and pay attention to those TV commercials. See how they pull at your self-centered, ego-centric desires. And, have you taken one closer step in the direction He wants to lead you in? Here is a great opportunity to take that step right now. Call somebody you have not seen at Church lately and invite them back. Tell the of all the wonderful things the Lord has been up to at First UMC and tell them, "Come and See!"
May the Lord lead you down the narrow path of discipleship and create in your the Peace that only He can provide. See you in Church, Pastor Larry

| Scrip News
June brings graduation for many folks and the question what should I get that graduate or what do they need. Or Father's Day is just around the corner and what Dad doesn't like to go shopping for his favorite fishing gear, golf items, or clothing etc. Why not stop and purchase a "Gift card" from our scrip program and help support our church.
If we don't have the scrip in stock we can order it and have it within a couple days. We will be selling scrip cards the first and third Sunday of each month in the Narthex.
Thanks to all of you loyal supporters and for those of you that haven't stopped to check the program please do stop by and say HI.
