 American Baptist Churches USA (ABCUSA) announces the opening of the nomination and application process for the next General Secretary of American Baptist Churches.
American Baptist leaders and friends are welcomed to encourage and nominate persons whom you believe would make good candidates for the position. Applications will be closed on October 31, 2014.

"Generosity is a Willing Spirit"

 This reflection was written by ABCUSA Stewardship Facilitator Rev. Stacy Emerson.
"Generosity is like the man on the beach spending his morning throwing starfish back into the sea. A visitor sees him and inquires what he is doing, and doesn't he realize that there are millions of starfish on the beach, does he truly think he can make a difference? And picking up one more and tossing it in the waves, the man replies, "It made a difference to that one." Read More.

Where in the World is General Secretary Medley?
|
 General Secretary A. Roy Medley travels and represents American Baptist Churches USA wherever he goes.
From May 24 to June 1, Medley made a special trip to Iran with eight national religious leaders from
different denominations in the United States. The theme of the trip, sponsored by the Center for Intereligious Dialogue, was:
"A World Free from Violence and Extremisms in Perspective of Abrahamic Religions." Read about Medley's experience in Iran.
Please pray for continued relationships to learn from one another and work towards new understandings, and for peace throughout the world during these troubling times.
