It's been a great year and we've accomplished a lot - we thank ALL of you who have participated and/or contributed to our success. 

During 2015:

• 189 youth entered our surf art contest at the La Jolla Riford Library from 10 different schools;
• 28 surfers participated on our surf team; the youngest was 10 and the oldest was 73;
• 85 volunteers helped us stage our 2015 Menehune Surf Contest;
• 93 surf industry friends and family donated items to our event as sponsors;
• 224 boys & girls age 18 & under surfed in our 2015 Menehune Surf Contest;
• 14 Veteran warriors adaptive athletes surfed in our exhibition heat at our Annual Surf Contest (pictured);
• 37 volunteers participated in our "day after" beach cleanup;
• 8 different surf clubs and organizations hosted events in California we surfed in: Doheny Gathering of the Tribes at Church's, Rincon Invitational, Santa Cruz Memorial Day Classic, PB Surf Club summer longboard classic, Malibu Boardriders Call to the Wall, Oceanside Surf Contest and Beach Festival, Swamis Return to the Reef at Cardiff Reef, and Tourmaline Challenge hosted by PB and Cardiff Surf Club. Thanks to all our friends for great events!
• 6 charities received contributions from La Jolla Shores Surfing Association (collectively) totaling $5,000 including Natural High, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Friends of La Jolla Shores, San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundation, Project Edeline in Haiti, and Door of Faith Orphanage in Baja.
• 48 people attended our "Shark Talk" to learn about the local leopard sharks by Scripp's scientist Andy Nosal;
• 200+ partygoers enjoyed our social events including "Take Back the Beach" at end of summer, Holiday Party in December, and Annual New Year's Day potluck

• 71 LJSSA surf club members paid dues - thank you! - join now and help us get to 100!

• 358 likes on facebook.  "Like" us and help us get to 500!
