September 13, 2016. God is patient with those He loves and He loves all His children, obedient and disobedient. He hears our every prayer when we are in trouble. When the going gets rough, friends and family will often flee from us. Hard times breed appeals to our King Jesus for understanding and wisdom. When He responds, almost always things get better, even far better. He delights in your songs to Him. Go ahead and bring smiles to His face.

September 13, 2016. Don't worry for a single moment about what is ahead. Right now you don't know what is ahead, and worry won't change a single fact. You will know when all the facts are in. That is the time you will make a choice whether to believe the facts or whether to believe My truth. Some of the facts and some of the truth will be side by side. Some won't. That will be the time to choose.

September 13, 2016. You and I have something special going on, don't we? It's a love meets love kind of thing that happens on a daily basis. I confide in you and you confide in Me and this cycle has continued for quite some time. My life and light look really good on you. I love revealing many of My most innermost thoughts and secrets to you. The intimacy we share brings Me such joy. I am so very proud of you!

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

Children and youth sponsored by FCM ministry partners are pictured here at their regular Sunday afternoon discipleship class. It is a very important part of their preparation for the future.

Teaching and discipleship are key elements in FCM sponsorships. Every sponsored child or youth is assigned to a pastor who is responsible for teaching that child how to victoriously live the Christian life. These young people will one day be leaders in their communities and some even in the nation. Teaching them Christian character values and how to daily follow Jesus as Lord is as important as the education and the nutrition they receive.

When a child is sponsored, the ministry to them is 3-fold. They receive ministry in body (nutrition), soul (education) and spirit (Christian teaching and discipleship).

Your gifts to FCM are changing lives in the Philippines. Over 900 very poor and disadvantaged children and youth are being educated and discipled. Without your help, the children would not be able to finish school. Some would be forced to dig through trash for survival. Some would be recruited by terrorists. Others would become victims of trafficking. Some would die young because of the unhealthy lifestyle.

Instead these disadvantaged children, like those pictured above, are being taught to follow Jesus in salvation and being educated to become teachers, nurses, business owners, soldiers and seamen. Some even desire to become lawyers and doctors. All these dreams would be impossible without your help.

Thank you for helping to change these young lives. You may never know the full impact every dollar you send has on them. But you can be sure it makes a difference. You can change a life by sponsoring him or her to get an education or by helping with food to supplement a very meager diet.
