A cycle of extreme poverty can be passed from generation to generation but the cycle can be broken. See below.

August 26, 2016. The Lord gives a word of caution concerning praise and recognition of oneself. It is better to receive praise from another. It would be even better if someone you do not know gives you praise. If you do the opposite and fill your conversations with self-praise, you have short-circulated God's provision made possible by His grace and mercy. Take a little time before the Lord and ask His wisdom. He has your back also.

Proverbs 27:2 (NASB) "Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips."  Ras Robinson
August 26, 2016. All is good. For a while a lot seemed bad. But this is not the case. Yes, there are some things that need to be learned. But this is not going to be a bad learning time. Quite the opposite. All will turn out well. It will be an eye opening time in the spirit. Give what is happening a chance to play out. Try seeing things that are happening from My point of view and believe the best.

1 Corinthians 13:6-7 (NIV) "Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."  Bev Robinson
August 26, 2016. The aching in your innermost being is not some sort of physical ailment, but rather a longing from within your spirit to be close to the one who knows you most intimately. Take the necessary remedy of and from the Holy Spirit which can and will alleviate the tenderness you're experiencing. Get on a daily regimen of His doing and be compliant to His way of thinking. Jesus can cure any longing you have that's driving you crazy.

John 14:27 (NLT) "I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."  Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

These children live in terrible conditions at a garbage dumpsite. Their playground is piles and piles of trash and garbage. There homes are scrap wood or cardboard or sometimes sacks or or old discarded tarps and other materials gathered from the trash. Many of them work with their parents to sort through the dumped trash, looking for items they can use or sell.

Unless the children who are this poor are sponsored or assisted in some other way, they don't go to school because their parents don't have money to buy uniforms and school supplies and pay numerous other required fees. So the cycle of poverty continues as the children grow up uneducated and without work skills.

That cycle of poverty and lack of education can be broken. When a child is sponsored, it sets in motion many changes. They go to school and get supplemental nutrition. The sponsorship opens a door to evangelize the family. It is common for entire households to be saved and baptized and discipled together. Hope rises as the children and their families anticipate a better future.

What a joy to be part of God's plan to rescue children from poverty and help them prepare for the future. For only $1 a day ($30 a month), you can sponsor the education of a child and help transform that child's life.

Maybe you are not at a place where you can commit to sponsor a child. The pastor who ministers to families in the garbage dump shown above has 17 feeding centers across the area where he feeds and ministers to hundreds of very poor children. Any amount you can send to help with food for the children will be a blessing to them and to you. Many of the children only get to eat one small meal a day.
