August 20, 2016. Surely you've learned by now to avoid strife and quarrels. To pursue strife and quarreling is costly to your reputation and friendships. You may even damage efforts at peacemaking. Those around you would probably like to know you better and understand your life. Seek to engage in fellowship in such a way as to build up and encourage your neighbors. Take the initiative to mix and mingle with those whom God puts in your path. Learn to serve them.

Proverbs 20:3 (NIV) "It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel."  Ras Robinson
August 20, 2016. What is the right thing to do? You aren't sure. You don't know what is My will? You are even wondering if you know how to hear Me. There are a lot of things you aren't sure about right now. There are so many things coming at you. It's time to stop your mind from racing. Slow all your activities down as much as possible.  Don't worry you will know what to do at the right time.

Proverbs 19:2 (NASB) "Also it is not good for a person to be without knowledge, And he who hurries his footsteps errs."  Bev Robinson
August 20, 2016. Be known as one who gives rightful consideration to the words you use in every situation and circumstance. Just because you know the answer to a question doesn't mean you are to blurt it out. Carefully weigh your words, because once they are spoken they cannot be taken back. Ask the Father what, when and how you are to deliver your speech. Let your words be as sweet as honey and smooth as oil.

James 1:19 (MSG) "Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear."  Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

We hope you enjoy these notes from some of the children in the Philippines who are sponsored by you. Thank you for giving so they can break the cycle of poverty and rise up out of poverty.

Chris. I thank God that I just finished my discipleship training course in our area as taught by our teacher from the church. I also received a certificate and a Bible. I was very happy when I received a very nice Bible and I always read it every day. My teacher still continues teaching us the word of God every Saturday and every Sunday I also go to church. Thank you very much sponsor for the supporting me in my school needs and projects.

Irene. I graduated from my discipleship course and I was so happy when received a ribbon, a certificate and a very nice Bible during graduation. I love to read my Bible and I brought it during our class every Saturday. I am also thankful to God for my sponsor who always supports me with my school needs and projects in school. You are a great help to our family. I love you very much.

Francis Ian. I am in Grade Eleven STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in preparation for medical and engineering courses when I go to college. I actively joined organizations and participated all the activities in our school because their aim is to nurture and to become globally competitive in terms of education. Even with the hectic schedules in my school, I never neglected my first priority which is God, because I know that my success comes only through Jesus. After the graduation from the discipleship training of the children, of which I was teaching, I still continue making those children as my disciple until they will grow mature.

Bercel. I'm thankful for the FCM scholarship because my school projects and fees are paid. Also in July, our school celebrated "Nutrition Month", and I did not expect that I will be chosen as "Miss Nutrition" in our school. This makes me happy because I never experienced this before. We also had a "career week" in our school and all of us students would portray what profession we want to become in the future. Since my ambition is to become a nurse, my grandmother borrowed a uniform and equipment used by a nurse and I'm thankful that my needs were met and I was able to portray being a nurse during our program.

What a joy to be part of God's plan to rescue children from poverty and help them prepare for the future. Would you like to be part of His plan for a child's life?

For only $1 a day ($30 a month), you can sponsor the education of a child and help transform that child's life. Maybe you are not at a place where you can commit to sponsor a child. Any amount you can send to help with food for the children will be a blessing. Many of the children only get to eat one small meal a day.
