August 6, 2016. Now is barley harvest time where we live in Texas. The huge fields sparkling with barley grain are amazing to see. Now is the time for gathering the blessing while it is available. Very soon, the window for harvesting will be over. God's desire is to bless you while the season is at hand. Harvesting God's goodness and generosity assures that you indeed are chosen and blessed. Seek God for His miraculous sign.

John 6:14-15 (NLT) "When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, "Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting! When Jesus saw that they were ready to force him to be their king, he slipped away into the hills by himself." Ras Robinson

August 6, 2016. An unexpected event is in the making. Something you have done in the past and is now dormant. It was something you enjoyed and something that brought others pleasure. A side effect was a boost in their faith. This event will cause people to sit up and take notice of their own lives. They will ask themselves, "Am I using my life for the benefit of only myself and my family, or am I reaching out to help and love others?"

Matthew 22:37-39 (NLT) "Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Bev Robinson

August 6, 2016. Do not be apathetic about apathy. It is easy to fall prey to the crippling effects of indifference. It can and will affect your daily walk with Jesus. At first it starts out small and seemingly unnoticed. Apathy can destroy the most passionate and enthusiastic of believers. Christians who slowly have let their spiritual guard down can fall captive to this debilitating disease. Do not allow any dispirited or lethargic mindsets near your camp.

Romans 12:11 (NIV) "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

One of our pastors in the Philippines often visits the garbage dump where some of our sponsored children live.

In this photo, the children go through a pile of old shoes dumped in the garbage. They hope to find some they can wear or possibly clean up and sell.

Your gifts for the children make a life-changing impact on children like these. Someday they will have jobs and homes that are not near the garbage dump as they escape the poverty into which they were born. Thank you Sponsor, Partners and Friends. You make a big difference.

Here are some notes from some of the children:

Vince - My mother is very happy that I am now complete in my uniforms. Thank you very much. Sometimes I felt tired going to school, because it is muddy along the road. But I always remember our pastor reminding us to succeed in life by going to school and making sacrifices. My mother always attends in Bible study and Sunday worship too.

Ermilyn - Thank you for my new uniforms. We are sad now in my family because our little baby 5 months old died due to dehydration due to diarrhea. Pray for my mother she is very sad.

Jaymar -Thank you very much to our sponsor who help us in our studies. I will study hard so I will finish. We are helping my mother in scavenging garbage by sorting out the cans, bottles and cartons we gather. About our spiritual life: We attend the home Bible Studies every Thursdays.
