Caring For Orphans And Widows
Update for "The Father's House" Orphanages
Dear Partners for "Caring for Orphans and Widows":
Thank you for the love and care you have shown for orphans and widows in the Philippines. Their needs have deeply touched our hearts. Thank you for giving to help meet some of those needs. God likes it when we care for orphans and widows. James 1:27 says,
"Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
I would like to introduce myself. I am Robin Robinson Bohlin, daughter of Ras and Bev Robinson. My husband, Jonas, and I pastor Fullness in Christ Church in Fort Worth, Texas. We have been in ministry with my parents for many years and now it is my honor to accept the position of Director of Orphanage Development and Management - Philippines. I am excited about this new ministry assignment and am happy to partner with you! I want to be an encouragement as well as an information guide. I will be sending regular updates concerning the 10 orphanages envisioned by Fullness in Christ Ministries (FCM).
Our first orphanage is located in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. It is nestled in a mountain village overlooking a stream that contains flecks of REAL gold! The meaning of Cagayan de Oro is "River of Gold." I have walked in this stream and it is almost magical as you see the glimmering waters. Pastor Armen Cuenca has donated part of his family's acreage for this orphanage. Armen graduated from Xavier University in the Philippines with a degree in engineering; and is God's chosen one to oversee this project. His tender care is displayed in the beautiful stone facing of the orphanage. It is close to completion; we look for it to be finished and occupied sometime this summer. Please pray with us as the finishing details come into the final stages. We are working on the accreditation required by the Philippine government; and staff is being hired. Pray for those God has chosen to be selected in each position.
We will be communicating with you more concerning how you can help. As you know, these are orphans with no way of providing for themselves. After the building is complete, there is the need for monthly sustenance. We will be communicating with you about some exciting ways you can help. I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you might have.
