Thank you Sponsors and Partners. You can be proud of the children and teens you help. Lives are changing because you give.

May 13, 2016. Have you ever received or given the spiritual ceremony of washing another's feet? Jesus felt strongly that this act of sacred humility and obedience was essential for believers. As one who witnessed this ceremony when I was around eight years old, it is carved into my memory as an awesome spiritual act. Since then I have practiced it many times. Each time it causes tears to flow. Pray about whose feet you need to wash.

John 13:7-8 (NASB) "Peter *said to Him, "Never shall You wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me."  Ras Robinson
May 13, 2016. First the natural and then the spiritual is something to remember. When you see something in the natural that portrays the spiritual, it's never to cause you fear. What you see is to let you know I know and to rely on Me body, soul and spirit. Even though what you see is a blow to your soul, you can get through it coming out on the other side victorious. Don't take revenge. Let Me handle this.

1 Corinthians 15:46 (NIV) "The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual."  Bev Robinson
May 13, 2016. Shower those around you with love and compassion. Let your appreciation for people who are near and dear to you be evident to them. Too often you get so caught up with your everyday affairs that you lose sight of things that are so important in the here and now. Take the time to offer up genuine praise and thanksgiving to those who you associate yourself with on a daily basis. Find creative ways to encourage one another.

Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."  Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

These sponsored teens have brought many smiles to our faces as we have watched them. Someone recently said of this photo that it looks like Kathy and her 12 disciples. If I lived there, it could very well be that way. I am so proud of them and how hard they work to escape the poverty in which they live.

All of these teens are from very poor homes -- no running water, no electricity, too many occupants for the small space. But they are working very hard to rise up out of the poverty. They desire to be educated and successful and are on the way to achieving that goal with the help of their sponsors and their pastors.

We have many older children and youth like these who need to be sponsored. Some of them finished elementary school, but then had to quit school because the higher grades are so much more expensive. We even have a few teens who were not able to finish elementary school. It is harder to find sponsors who wish to sponsor older children. Most want to sponsor younger ones.

Would you consider sponsor one or more of the older children or teens who want desperately to get an education? It will make a big impact to give them that chance to escape poverty. One of our pastor's often tells the youth that education breaks the cycle of poverty. You can be part of this breaking.

If you have thought about sponsoring a child, now is the time. A new school year begins in the Philippines the first week of June. It is now time to buy school supplies, uniforms, shoes and other school needs. Will you ask the Lord about it? See links below for your response.
