April 7, 2016. One of the greatest and most powerful enemies of success is to be double-minded. To be such is to allow your strength and focus to become blurred. Even the best sharp-shooter will miss the mark and fail. You should say, "I will do such and such according to the will of God." This statement does not produce defeat, but rather it results in hitting the bull's eye every time. Shoot straight.
James 4:8 (NIV) "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." Ras Robinson

April, 7 2016. Something you believe I have initiated keeps getting put off. You have allowed other things to push it aside. The reason this has happened is that you haven't given it high priority. Instead you have allowed other tasks to keep pushing it back. Ask yourself if God really said this. If He has, then schedule it like you would anything of importance. I know it doesn't seem like something that needs to be scheduled, but if you want it done, do it this way for now.
Psalm 90:12 (ESV) "So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom." Bev Robinson

April 7, 2016. Learning to laugh is not always the easiest task, but learning to do so can substantially lighten your load. Allow yourself the freedom to laugh at all the circumstances you encounter, good or bad. In doing so, you will experience My joy in ways you have not felt before. Find creative ways to let yourself experience laughter to its full extent. Learn to laugh in the face of adversity and trials which come your way. Laugh wholeheartedly.
Psalm 126:2 (NLT) "We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, "What amazing things the Lord has done for them." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines
Does sponsoring a child make a difference? Here are some stories and notes that will bless you.
JOLINA, age 15, lives in a very remote, but beautiful, place in the Philippines with her parents and younger brother. Her parents are farmers, uneducated and very poor. They carry water from a spring and have no electricity. They love their children and want a better life for them. To go to school, Jolina would have to walk an hour to the nearest road where she can catch a ride on a jeepney for another hour to school. So she is now living in the city with the pastor's family. She sees her family on weekends and holidays. Jolina told us she does not want to repeat the cycle of being poor. She really desires to go to school and is thankful to have a sponsor to help her do that. Her desire is to finish high school and college and become a teacher. Here is a recent note from Jolina: "Thank you for your support in my study. You are the instrument that God has given to me in order to have an education."
JAYLORD, age 17, had to drop out of school after completing elementary school. His parents are very poor and did not have the money needed for him to continue in school. Despite the hardship, especially the lack of food to eat, he survived and never gave up his desire to finish his studies and achieve his ambition to become a Marine Engineer. He is smart, but his future did not look good. He is now in high school and doing well. He was so happy when he was chosen to be sponsored and so thankful to his sponsor. Here is a note from Jaylord: "You make my life meaningful and my future clearer. There are millions of less privileged children, but you chose me as one of your scholars. Thank you for helping me fulfill my dreams."
If you have ever wanted to have an impact on a young life, becoming a sponsor for a child too poor to go to school is a great way to do that and now is the time. A new school year begins in the Philippines the first week of June. One pastor wrote me this week about 10 children who desperately need to be sponsored. Five pastors in remote tribal areas have asked to be part of FCM so the children in those poor tribes can be helped. We believe God wants us to sponsor many more very poor children and send them to school, giving them hope and purpose in life.
Will you ask the Lord about it? See links below for your response.
