These children live under a bridge in the Philippines. When we first began to minister there a few years ago, there were so many school-age children who could not go to school. It was heartbreaking. Sponsors have changed that for many of them. They are always so thankful to God and to their sponsors for making good things possible. Here are some notes received this week from some of the "under the bridge children."
Cleoford. Age 10. "Good morning to my sponsors! How are you and your health? I pray that God will always make you well and healthy. I want you to know that I love you with all my heart. Thank you for sending me to school. Thank you for the chance of having a better life in my future! I promise to become better each year and I pray that you'll be proud of me."
Johndorf. Age 11. "Hello sponsors! The warmest and most heartfelt greetings all the way from our little town here in the Philippines! How are you? Me, to God be the glory, I am well. God is very faithful to me and to my family. We thank Him each day for the gift of life. I will always pray for you. I love you sponsors!"
Christine. Age 13. "I love you sponsors! How I hope that one day, I could see you in person and make you smile in my little ways. I could sing for you! I could also memorize Bible verses. I pray that God will allow me to visit America in the future so that I could see and hug you personally. Thank you!"
Janesa. Age 9. "I love going to school! Thank you for helping me my loving sponsors! I always pray that you will never cease in helping us. You are making me the happiest kid! Thank you FCM. "
Rozel. Age 10. "Good day sponsors! This is Rozel, your sponsored kid. I am happy to report that my health is well, my days in my school are great, and I am constantly attending church. Thank you for the years of love and support!"
Bebelyn. Age 8. "I would like to hug my sponsors! I love you sponsors. Thank you for making me a happy kid. Your support means so much to me. I will always pray for you! I pray that I'll see you in person. God bless!"
If you have ever wanted to have an impact on a young life, becoming a sponsor for a child too poor to go to school is a great way to do that and now is the time. We believe God wants us to help many more very poor children in the coming year and give them hope and purpose in life.
