Marjon could not go to school very often because his family could not pay the fees or buy school supplies. Then he was sponsored. He went to school and excelled. The family was still very poor and life was a struggle, but now there was hope that the future would be better. He knows he would not have finished even elementary school if it were not for help from a sponsor.
A short time ago, his sponsor could no longer send the support for Marjon's scholarship. FCM has covered his expenses since that time, but he needs a sponsor who will help him finish school. He wants to be a soldier and protect good people from evil people. We are asking God for another sponsor to provide for his needs and pray for his success.
Here is a letter recently received from Marjon: I am now an eighth grade student and, through your support, I have continued my studies. I am so grateful to you and to those who are behind the scholarship program. I know if it were not for this scholarship, it would have been hard for me even to finish my elementary because of our financial condition.
You are an instrument used by the Lord so that, those poor children who are willing to go to school but have no financial means would continue in their dreams. And I am one of those kids, who dreamed of greater things so that someday we will be taken out from this poverty with the help of the Lord. I know this dream will be realized because I always declare the word of God in Jeremiah 29:11 that God has good plan for us and will give us hope and good future. Amen
And to you as my sponsor and to all the people around us who care for us especially in our church, you gave me inspiration to continue and persevere. Thank you very much and God bless.
Thank you Partners, Sponsors and Friends for making it possible for children like Marjon to dream of a better future.
It is truly amazing what even a small investment of $30 a month per child will make. There are many children who are hoping and praying for someone to help. As a sponsor, God can use you to change a life. Will you pray about it? See links below for your response.
