Ministry to Children in the Philippines
Pastor Greg Dalayan and some of the children in his community who come to the church to eat because there is no food at home. He and his wife Marietta have a strong ministry in this remote place.
We ask you to pray with us for revival and transformation to come to this region in the Philippines. Currently there is rebel activity in the area that is a threat to the families. We won't go into a lot of detail, except to say that it is dangerous. A related issue is the recruiting of young people to join the cause of the rebels.
We had opportunity to pray for the young pastor and his wife while we were in the Philippines. The power of the Spirit was very strong as we asked for a transformation to come to the area and change the very atmosphere.
Our prayer is:
* protection for the pastor and family.
* protection for the members of the church.
* protection for the 24 sponsored children and their families who live here.
* for the Lord to bring transformation and change in the atmosphere.
We have seen this very thing happen in another city. When we first went to the city of Catigbian, the atmosphere was hostile to the Gospel.
What happened in Catigbian is a long wonderful story. When we began to love, care for and sponsor the poorest of the poor children in the city, hearts were open to hear the Gospel. Many have been saved, including rebels and their families. God is still working there in power and transformation is still happening. We are asking God to do it again, this time in Lingig.
I want to also add that there are 5 pastors in the Lingig area with many very poor, hungry and uneducated children who have asked to become part of FCM in the Philippines. This would be a great way to invade the region with the Gospel and be used by God to help change the atmosphere.
