Sponsoring poor children so they can go to school changes lives and communities. See below.

March 4, 2016. It is not too late to be saved from what the devil has planned for you. However, the time is right for you to cry out "save me from eternal damnation." Nothing is more important right now than for you to be saved. You are doomed if you are not sealed by the shed blood of Jesus. You will forever be glad that you took the steps into the arms of God and received the salvation He offers you.

Psalm 3:7 (NASB) "Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God! For You have smitten all my enemies on the cheek; You have shattered the teeth of the wicked. Ras Robinson
March 4, 2016. Do whatever it takes to maintain an atmosphere of peace, appreciation and harmony in your home or school or workplace. At times there are interruptions. They really cannot be avoided. But get back to your peaceful atmosphere and status as quickly as possible. In the atmosphere of peace, your best creative mind and work is happening. I can bring peace, but you need to maintain it once it comes. Chaos happens but get back to peace quickly.

Ezekiel 37:26 (AMP) "I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will give blessings to them and multiply them and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore."  Bev Robinson
March 4, 2016. Have you ever wondered how it is that you are spared when others aren't as fortunate? Be aware that I have given angels their charge concerning you. Whether you are asleep or awake, you are being protected around the clock. Consider how your ankle is not broken when you have tripped or fallen. Or about the times your life is secure on the highways and biways when others are not. Offer up thanksgiving.

Psalm 91:11 (AMP) "For He will command His angels in regard to you, to protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service]."  Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

Some of our young friends living at the garbage site lined up to say goodbye as we left. We enjoyed so much our time with them. These children were once suspicious and even resentful of us. We were strangers and were among those making promises to help them. What a big difference it was this time. They came running to meet us with big smiles and open arms.  This change came as we became involved in helping them -- sponsoring some so they can go to school, helping provide food and nutrition and assisting pastors who minister to their needs.

All these things, made possible by gifts from Partners, Sponsors and Friends, opened their hearts to receive our love. The Saturday morning we visited, we took gifts and we played a lot as we enjoyed the sound of children's laughter. It was hard to say good-bye but it is good to know that we leave good pastor's on site. They love the children and their families and they minister daily to the needs. Thank you for making good things possible.

There are many children at the garbage site who still cannot go to school because they are unable to pay the required fees. If they don't get an education, they will likely repeat the cycle and continue to live as trash scavengers. Sponsors provide funds for education, nutrition, pastoral care and more. Lives are changed by sponsors.

It is truly amazing what even a small investment of $30 a month per child will make. Pray about it.

Why can't poor children in some developing nations go to school?
One thing we Americans often do not understand is why we need to help poor children in another country go to school. In most developing nations education is not free like it is in America. In order to attend even public school (which our sponsored children attend), students must pay fees for things we cannot imagine. They have to purchase books and supplies and most students wear uniforms that are required. There is no free transportation provided for children to go to school. There is no free lunch or breakfast. If they live too far to walk, they must take public transportation and pay for it. A surprise to us was that there was a fee to attend the Christmas party at school and every child attending was required to purchase a gift for a gift exchange or they could not attend the party.

Poor families are not able to pay such fees and purchase the required supplies so the children do not attend school and they repeat the cycle of poverty inherited from parents and grandparents. The money sent by sponsors pay for these fees so a child goes to school and has everything needed. Education breaks the cycle of poverty.
