Some might ask, "Why do you help the poor? Don't you know there will always be poor people?" Pleasing and obeying God is reason enough. See below.

February 17, 2016. Stress and tension are enemies to your peace of mind. Somehow you have lost your focus on the Lord of your life. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Stop what you are doing and meditate on who He is to you. Did He save you? Did He set you free from stumbling blocks and pull you out of the pits? Has He not told you that nothing is impossible for you in the future?

February 17, 2016. Make the most of your time. Don't let the rough start affect you now. It is a new day. Take advantage of it being a new day. I have much more for you than you have time to do. Choose wisely and the time you have remaining will be a hallmark. You asked Me previously that it would be that. Now that the challenges are in the past, think of things you want to do and do them.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB) "Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert." Bev Robinson

February 17, 2016. II have a simple request. I want you to be available for Me to use you. Using you is not something I would do against your will. Will you see to it that your answer is always yes and amen to my beckoning? My desire is for you to be willing to do whatever I ask, whenever I ask. Lay down your plans and let Me guide you into peaceful places you know not.

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

Let's see how many small children can he lift with on each hand. When we visited the garbage dumpsite last Saturday, the children were ready to play. They were so happy to see us and enjoyed the bananas and bread and other goodies we brought for them. What they really wanted more than anything was attention and our team gave it to them in abundance.

Some would say, "Why do you do this? Don't you know there will always be poor people?" My answer to that is "Yes that is true, but these we help today will not be among the poor tomorrow. There will be another batch." God likes it when we give to and bless the poor. Pleasing and obeying God is reason enough.

On Saturday we saw the "next batch" of poor children who need help. They were young -- elementary age. One little girl came to the pastor while we were there and asked if he would accept her to be sponsored. He said she comes to him almost every week and asks the same thing. We could sponsor more than 100 today in that one location. God may speak to your heart about being part of what He wants to do among the people and in the nation of the Philippines.
