Leaving Tuesday morning for the Philippines. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. Read about it below.
|
February 6, 2016. Something new has occurred involving new friends and possible new expressions and connections of ministry. This is a good time to take a deep breath and pray for guidance. Ask of Me quite often, "Which way will I go? Do I go at all?" Stay very close in His presence. Train your senses to inquire of the Lord. Pray in faith believing. Be quick to obey. Be thankful and demonstrate pinpoint obedience.
Isaiah 43:19 (NASB) "Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert." Ras Robinson

February 6, 2016. Life is moving fast. That's a fact, but don't let your mind linger there or you'll become disgruntled. Take some time for yourself. Don't think that taking time for yourself is irresponsible. I took time out and alone when I walked the earth. I know how events can pile up into a mountain that is hard to overcome. Go at My speed. Do what Father says. When He says go, go. When He says rest, rest.
Mark 6:31a (AMP) "And He said to them, [As for you] come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while" Bev Robinson

February 6, 2016. Stewardship is an area you need to be well acquainted with. You have been given a great deal of responsibility in some particular capacities of your life. It is essential for you to have a greater understanding of all that is entailed in the upkeep of those tasks. Ask Me for wisdom concerning how to best handle those responsibilities with more care and concern. To those who have been given much, much is required.
Proverbs 16:3 (AMP) "Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines
This time next week my brother Jonas and I, along with 4 others who sponsor children, will be in the Philippines. My friend and mentor Vaughn Newman once told me, "Put your hands on the children. Hold them and bless them." It is one of my favorite things to do. There is something special about holding one of those dirty, smelly little children with lice and who knows what else. They usually just melt into my arms soaking up the love and attention. By the way, the way they get rid of the lice is to shave the head entirely -- boy or girl, it doesn't matter.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement as we go. It is not an easy trip. For more than 24 hours we will be on a plane or in an airport. Then there is the heat and the busy, non-stop schedule. But the joy we experience as we see God at work in transforming young lives, is worth it. I cannot imagine doing anything else. What a privilege is ours.
While there we will have a meeting of the Board of Directors who are overseeing the building and operation of "The Father's House" orphanages. We will visit the first orphanage under construction now. Part of our assignment as Directors is to recommend a location for the second orphanage so building can soon begin on it. Thank you to all of you who have given to provide nice homes for some precious children.
We will meet with the pastors who care for the sponsored children. God has given us some of His best in these pastors. They untiringly give of their time and energy, their food and often their money to help poor children and their families. We have a wonderful partnership with these wonderful Filipino men and women.
We will also personally visit many of the children who are sponsored, always a highlight of every trip.
Thank you for your prayers, words of encouragement and support. We leave Tuesday, February 9 and return Thursday, February 25. If you would like to financially support this trip, your help is very welcome. The ministry we do while there requires extra money. To give, you can click on the "Donate" link below and designate your gift to help pay trip and ministry expenses. Thank you again for your prayers.
