January 6, 2016. May God send His great chariots of fire to your aid. Many now are the years of my pain and suffering. Few, if any, understand my situation. With no help manifested, I remember the Lord and His compassion in my deepest despair. My strength has dissolved and left me weak and listless. Heal and restore me, Lord. Deal repentance to those who attack and scorn me. I have repeatedly prayed for them so now please remove them from me.

January 6, 2016. Last year good things happened, but side-by-side and on a parallel track, bad things also happened. You did well to concentrate on the right track. You fought the fight of faith. You are learning and growing in grace. You don't give up and you are walking by faith. Pace yourself, resist the bad and you will see blessings upon blessings. I have more blessings stored for you that you will ever use.

January 6, 2016. There are very few constants in this world. Knowing you have latched on to one should be very comforting. With that in mind, be very aware of what, where, when and how the Spirit of God is moving. Keep your spiritual antennae up to be aware of why He is doing the things He is doing. Know He is always pointing the way to Me. Be aware of the constant move of what is happening.

James 1:17 (NLT) "Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

This handsome young man is Jefferson, one of our sponsored young people. He was so pleased to receive a roasted chicken and bottle of soft drink to take home for the family Christmas meal. That was made possible by your extra donations for Christmas.

Jefferson has grown up in the home of his grandparents who are very poor and not healthy. They have struggled to survive. His grandparents could not even afford to feed him. Jefferson is very smart and wanted so much to go to school, but school was not possible. At a young age he began working as a carpenter's helper, earning about $1 a day. He used it to buy school supplies. He was determined to graduate. He is so thankful now to have a sponsor to help him get an education and provide some extra food for him which is a big help to his grandparents.

Here is a note received from Jefferson:

First of all Happy New Year to you and your family! You are a blessing to me. Thank you for the roasted chicken for our Christmas. My school shoes were too worn and I did not have shoes anymore for school. My grandpa and grandma do not like me to be a born again Christian so they refuse to help me with my school needs. My grandfather wanted me to stop going to school because he is poor and sickly and could not pay for the expenses. I still respect them, but I can't stop attending Bible Studies, Sunday church and overnight prayer every Friday with our pastor. My reward is shoes!!! All of us were asked what we want for Christmas and I told Pastor "a pair of shoes!" I got them. I even got two pair so if one pair is dirty, I can wear the other ones. Thank you Lord and thank you Sponsor.

If you want to be part of God's plan to change young lives like Jefferson, consider becoming a sponsor for one or more children. The investment in their lives is a good one. If sponsoring children is not your desire, consider giving as you can to help with the cost of food. With good food given regularly, the children are healthier, more alert and do better in school.
