Jean, one of our sponsored college students, is working on a degree in Business Administration and hopes to one day own her own business. She will be 19 years old this week. Jean was very young when her father left home. She and her mother did not hear from him for years but never stopped praying for him. In answer to their prayers, he did come home and slowly began to attend church with his family. They continued to pray and the wonderful day came when he accepted Christ. Her father works as a school janitor and her mother works in the school canteen, but their income is very small and not enough to pay for Jean's education. Jean has been sponsored by FCM for a number of years. Today she is a "working student." She works a job at her college as she works on her degree. She is also active in her church and helps with ministry in several areas. We are proud of Jean and we know the best is yet to come in her future.

 

Here is a recent letter from Jean:  "Dear Sponsor, I have been branded as a busy student because of my studies and being a working student at the same time. I can really say my time to do the things I need to do is not enough. But I am always thinking positively because I know God will help me in my studies. Being a College student is not easy because of a lot of requirements, projects and activities that we need to do. I always go to school very early so I will have more time to do the things I need to do in my job and I don't want to be late in my classes. I am very thankful because the Human Resource Manager, who is my boss, is very good and I think she trusts me even though there are times I forget to do the things she asks of me because my mind is very busy. I thank God for always being there to help me in times of problems. Thank you also for continuing to support me. May God bless you more, my dear sponsor."
