What if you were too poor to pay the "Christmas party fee" and you could not attend your school party? As hard as it is to believe, it happens. See below.

November 6, 2015. Someone is aching in body joints and bones and feeling weakened. But the scriptures say that you are healed. All your present and future needs for being made whole are met in Jesus' death and resurrection. His compassion for you compelled Him to sacrifice Himself in order that you be made complete and perfect in His sight. In this time of your great need, Jesus says you are healed and made well. Receive it.
Psalm 6:2 (NLT)"Have compassion on me, LORD, for I am weak. Heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony." Ras Robinson

November 6, 2015. It isn't as easy to see your own faults as it is to see the faults of another. Something happened; a word came. You thought it was for someone else, someone you know well. You have been seeking how to give the word. The word is not for another, but for you. I know this is somewhat of a surprise, but not really. Right now it isn't visible. My child, now is the time to make a change.
Matthew 4:17 (NASB) "From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Bev Robinson

November 6, 2015. Within you lies a strong resilient factor which is able to withstand any onslaught of negativity and pessimism. You are a spirited individual who is capable of many promising opportunities. People recognize you for being strong, tough and buoyant when times get incredibly difficult and trying. Continue to draw strength from Me and flourish like an oasis in the desert. You have been blessed and more than adequately equipped for times such as these.
Isaiah 40:31 (NLT) "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines
Something that surprised us concerning the children in the Philippines was the "party fee requirement." When there is a party at school (for Christmas or any other reason), each child has to pay a "party fee" in order to attend the party. If a child is unable to pay that fee, they cannot attend the party. The collected fees are used to pay for party food, decorations, gifts, etc. That is hard for us to imagine, but it is common in other countries.
The children we sponsor are from very poor homes where there is not even enough money for food, much less a "party fee." As part of the Christmas blessing for the sponsored children, those fees are paid and the children get to attend the Christmas party at their schools. We've had children tell us they never went to a party before and they say "thank you, thank you, thank you for paying the fee so I could attend."
We also say "thank you" to you for your generosity in giving to bless the children all year and especially at Christmas. Sometimes the simple things many of us take for granted are a huge blessing to others.
Our Christmas plans: Pay those "party fees" of course! We also desire to provide a gift for every sponsored child (all 821 of them) plus their siblings. We also provide something special to eat, either at a Christmas meal at the church or for them to take home. It is a big vision, but we have a great big God.
Some have said they are sending the same amount for the children in the Philippines that they are spending on their own families. Others say their adult children don't need much so they are giving more to the children in the Philippines. Some are giving in memory or in honor of loved ones. Some have given to honor Jesus as this special time of year. Whatever God speaks to you, will be a blessing.
Christmas is coming soon! We need to receive the donations for Christmas before Thanksgiving so we can send the money the first week of December to the pastors who care for the children.
