October 16, 2015. Make sure of your confidence in the Lord based on you commitment to Him. Totally believe that He alone saves you and nothing this world has to offer is nearly as good. Your faith is a very personal thing. It is not like the wind that blows and lies depending on the seasons. Instead your faith is steady, unbending and anchored in Jesus the Rock. He is always with you in good times, in storms and in crises.

October 16, 2015. Don't get so down on yourself. You are much harder on you that I am. I keep My hand of grace extended. Take it and also extend grace to others. Reaching out to others will help you extend grace to yourself. Let me cleanse you when you don't feel loving toward others. Do the right things I show you and you will find yourself loving you. And that will help you love those you have a hard time loving.

October 16, 2015. When traveling by air, you often check your baggage and trust it into the care of someone else. I want you to do the same with the all of your life. Let your life be a vacation or holiday which is free of cares and concerns. That's not to say you don't care. Instead it means you trust Me to handle what is precious to you. Allow me to be your gentle caretaker.

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

Hungry children in the Philippines line up for food. They come through all the dust and smells and dirty grime of the garbage site, bringing various containers to be filled with food. Our pastors tell us they see children every day who are so hungry and too often have not had a full meal in days. 

Thank you Partners, Sponsors and Friends for giving. The food served is a good tasting soup (the children really like it) and it has been enhanced with all the vitamins and minerals a child needs for good health. When they get this food even once a week, it makes a visible difference in the life of a child.

As a side note, the older ones who have been sponsored for a while are the ones who prepare and serve the food to the children. It is part of their training to learn about serving others. These youth are sensitive to the needs of the younger children because they were once hungry little children like those they serve. The youth, now in high school and college, are aware of the needs of the younger children. They are very active in ministry to the children as they are taught to give to others as they have received.

These are some of the hundreds of children we want to bless at Christmas. The children in this "food line" are from very poor families. There will be no gifts or special food for them unless many of us give to make it possible. If many of us give even a little, then many children will be blessed.
