October 14, 2015. Never be ashamed to admit your fear of the Lord. It is a good thing, a positive quality and it acknowledges God's good intentions. This fear is produced by God's words and causes a person to be receptive to wisdom and knowledge. You are one who embraces this kind of fear. You know both the good and the bad side of fear. You choose the good and wear it well.

Proverbs 14:26 (NLT)"Those who fear the LORD are secure; he will be a refuge for their children."  Ras Robinson

October 14, 2015. Live by faith, not by sight even though you don't see things getting better and you see some good things crumbling. Don't keep thinking or repeating how bad it is. Do as the Shunammite woman did in the midst of her impossibilities. Keep saying "It is well."  Don't wait to believe until you see. No matter how you feel don't entertain unbelief. Stop it at your door. In the midst of the impossible, say "It is well."

2 Kings 4:26 (NKJV) "Please run now to meet her, and say to her, 'Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?' " And she answered, "It is well."  Bev Robinson

October 14, 2015. Although your warfare is not against flesh and blood, be aware of wolves in sheep's clothing. I don't want you to be unaware of individuals who are divisive with their words and deeds. Too often Satan is blamed when people operate in a fleshly manner. The signs ought to be obvious when someone is toying with other's emotions and well-being. Listen carefully to those around you who are conscious of wrongdoings.

Hebrews 2:1 (NIV) "We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away."  Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

Franco and Soles Trigo, shown here with one of their grandsons, care for many FCM sponsored children. Franco was the second pastor in the Philippines to join the FCM team. As with all of our pastors, we believe this couple was hand-picked by the Lord.

The Trigos pastor a church and have led the members to support ministry to poor families in the city. Many people have been saved, baptized and discipled because of this ministry.

The Trigos have cared for the children and their families through many hardships -- earthquakes, typhoons, fires, floods, often using their own money or food. Once when all the homes of squatters at the garbage dump were bulldozed, he allowed the families to build new shelters on a piece of land he owned. They built homes and planted gardens and became fishermen instead of garbage scavengers. The village they built is now called "Victory Village."

Several other incidents reveal the heart of this couple to be used by God to change lives. Here is the story of one family.
Last fall a serious situation concerning a family was brought to our attention. A widow, 2 children and a special needs grandchild were living in desperate conditions. They were also being abused by a family member. We contacted Pastor Trigo and he immediately took action. The family was rescued, escaping with only the clothing they wore. No one in the family had been to school and they could not read or write. This family was provided a home, food, clothing and other needs. Their progress has been remarkable. FCM has helped, but it would not have happened without this man. This month he told us he gave the support we sent for him to the family.

Last month was the anniversary celebration of his church and many came to join the celebration. Drawings were part of the celebration. One drawing was for a large sack of rice. The person who won the rice was the mother of one of our sponsored children. When her name was called, she jumped for joy because she had no food in the house to cook -- now she had a big sack of rice, the best prize ever!

One of the written policies for this ministry is that every sponsored child is assigned to a pastor who cares for them and disciples them. God has given some of the best pastors He could find to FCM to care for the children. FCM sends a small amount each month to help support them, not nearly enough for all they do. Thank you for praying for them.
