August 27, 2015. Fear is not a good companion. Each time fear tries to raise its head, show love to that fear. Love overcomes and covers fear. Nothing brings more peace and confidence than genuine love. The enemy of your soul lurks day and night to kill, steal and destroy. Pray for God to increase your love quotient. Place your faith, along with love, as your deterrents to your mortal enemy Satan. Soak up and maintain your confidence in the Lord. He will reward you especially when you are under attack. Remain confident.

August 27, 2015. I know the roadblock you hit is real. But it is only a distraction. Follow the detour. It is the only way around the obstacle. Follow the signs even though they don't make sense. Don't turn around thinking this way seems to be going nowhere. Keep the peace I have given you. Don't discount the peace. Don't let your mind wander from what has been set before you. Soon you will see why the roadblock is there. There will be an opening into a broad vista that you had no idea was there.

August 27, 2015. Do not allow leaven anywhere near your camp. Cleanse every part of your household from this invasive particle. I have called you to purify yourself. Be aware of miniscule elements of leaven which can pervade your life in the smallest yet impacting way. Realize that leaven is a sign of corruptness and perverseness of your heart and life. A feast is coming so be sure you have rid yourself of any corrupt doctrine or unseen influence. Ask Me to reveal any areas where you're getting a rise out of anything.

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

When we first met this young lady, Irish, she was a pretty little girl of 14. Her family were poor farmers in a remote mountain community in the Philippines. She had completed only 6th grade because that was as far as she could go without going to the city to continue her education. That was not even a dream for her. 

Before FCM came, most of the children in the community did not go to school past 6th grade. They married young, had babies and continued the cycle of poverty. Most homes have no electricity or indoor plumbing. 

With the help of Partners, Sponsors and Friends, FCM began to sponsor promising young people in the community and help them go to high school then college. After graduating from high school, Irish was accepted in one of the best universities in the Philippines and graduated last March with a BS Degree in Financial Management. She just got a job in the offices of city government in one of the largest cities in the Philippines. It is something that would have been impossible with a sponsor.

We are very proud of Irish for her accomplishments. She worked very hard to get her education. It was not always easy. God gave her abilities, but without the support of a sponsor and the mentoring and care of a pastor and his wife, she would have been locked in a cycle of poverty with no escape. She has a great future ahead of her.

Something else happened that was not foreseen. The younger children in the mountain community saw what happened with that first group and it gave them hope that they too could go to high school, even college and rise out of poverty as well as help their families. It has changed an entire community.
