August 15, 2015. In your plans and decisions, you see the need for input from those who are wise. It is important to sift and sort through advice received over time and then to adjust your future plans to continue seeking advice. Seek also to make yourself available to advise others as they desire. To do so, in the larger scenario, makes you a better team player as well as a better individual. Jesus is your example in this. He could have done all He did totally by Himself alone, but His twelve disciples were his team.

August 15, 2015. Don't go around this mountain one more time. Stop and make the right choice. Take the next right step. You can do this. Now is the time. You feel like you have been on a roller coaster. Up and down. Up and down. I have made the crooked ways straight and have placed you on a level path. I have it all laid out for you. Make the right choice now. Don't go the way of trauma and drama. Instead stay walking on My path. It's the path of peace.

August 15, 2015. You enjoy getting a second and third opportunity to attempt something you have unsuccessfully tried before. At times your tenacity with a particular task is awe inspiring. Your diligence has given you great rewards and you have become very pleased with the fruit of your labor. Aren't you glad when I have given openings and breaks throughout your life? Imagine what your life would be like if I granted only one chance to accomplish your tasks. You would be miserable, right? Freely give grace just as you have been given.

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

A bowl with a little rice and a hot dog. This is probably all this child has to eat on the day this photo was taken. It is more than he eats on most days. Too many nights he has gone to bed hungry just like so many young children around the world. You may say, "But I can't feed all the hungry children in the world." Mother Teresa and also Heidi Baker answered that with, "Just help the one God puts in front of you." 

This little boy lives at a garbage dumpsite. He scavenges through trash for food and clothing and even toothbrushes. He needs food, education and he needs to know Jesus loves him. We have a pastor on site there who can see that he gets all those things. Would you ask God about helping little ones like this?

Some of our Partners, Sponsors and Friends regularly send money to help provide food. We are thankful for that. All through the last school year, we sent more money to the Philippines for food than we received designated for that purpose. Our desire has been to provide breakfast and lunch on school days and one good healthy meal on the weekend. This current school year we have had to reduce what we send for feeding the children. It was a very hard decision because we knew what it meant. Our prayer has been that God would provide for them, whether through us or in other ways. Our God is a big God. Working together we can meet this need.
