You may not be able to personally go to the Philippines and give food to a hungry child, but when you send gifts to feed the children, you help buy food that is given to them. See below.

August 11, 2015. You have become weary and heavy-laden. This is because you have given of yourself in the cause of ministering to those who need you. This is a good thing. Do not judge yourself because you are now tired. God has given you the strength and stamina for ministry to others. Now He wants you to come to Him and rest for a while. He will give you a unique, even if unusual, and secret place. In doing so, you will be following the path Jesus Himself walked when He became weary.

August 11, 2015. I am going to show you where you are going. You've heard Me in what to do. It was a surprise and seemed to come out of the blue. And yes it did come out of the blue. It came from above. It came from Me. You have been praying specifically about what to do next and have been following Me correctly step by step, but I want to show you the whole picture. Temptation is coming which will cause you to doubt. You will wonder what in the world you are doing.

August 11, 2015. You have choices to make every single day. Don't be ruled by circumstances that come your way. It's not a matter of what happens, but rather your reaction and response to what happens. Everyone, and I mean everyone, has troublesome news and things that bombard them at times. Those issues will inevitably and most probably pass, but it's your reaction and answer to those issues which remains. Choose each day not to have circumstances dictate why, where, what and how you will reply. Choose wisely. Leave a godly legacy.

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

Almost any one of us would jump at the chance to give a bowl of nutritious soup to a child like the one pictured here. One of our pastors wrote last week and asked if it is ok to use money we send him for feeding the children who live at the garbage site (like this child) because they are so hungry. So here they come, bringing bowls, discarded ice cream cartons and other containers they dig out of someone's garbage. They come and those containers are filled with life-saving food.

The money you send to help feed hungry children purchases food that is important to their survival. You may not be able to personally go to the Philippines and give food to a hungry child, but when you send gifts to feed the children, your gifts buy the food that is given to them. When a bowl of food is given to a child like this, it helps the child, but it is as if you were giving it to Jesus Himself (See Matthew 25:34-40).

You can be part of giving hope to some very poor children in the Philippines. Your gifts help feed the very poorest of children in body (food), mind (education) and spirit (the Gospel of Jesus).
