Early in the morning, before school, sponsored children come to the pastor's home for breakfast. It is more important to them than most of us realize. See below.

July 14, 2015. You will gain in every way when you submit yourself to the goal of unity. God leads you to those with whom you will join heart to heart. You are to be as one with your spouse, family and church. There is almost always a way you can find agreement and unity. The Lord says you are to practice this discipline. You will gain approval and following from those who observe this great achievement. Then, as you have committed yourself to the Lord in this assignment, Father God will take up dwelling with you.

July 14, 2015. A new idea that you believe will help many has been floating in your head. You aren't sure when and how to divulge it. You believe it will help many people and this is a good motive. You aren't sure about how to begin and how to follow through. Search the Scriptures with this idea. You will see an answer in a passage that you have read many times before that pertains specifically to this new idea. Check it with your authorities, then all will sanction your excitement into action.

July 14, 2015. Showing care and concern used to be earmarks of the people who convened at church. It seems hospitality was shown at a greater level than is displayed today. Yes, there are pockets of helpers and there always will be a select few because they understand the value of serving others. What are you full of? Is it yourself and your own desires and wants? Is it recognition in a particular area of your own choosing? Try putting on the cloak of servanthood and see if it transforms your heart.

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

Early in the morning sponsored children come to the homes of many of our FCM pastors. They come to eat breakfast before going to school. Their siblings, even if not sponsored and not in school are also allowed to come eat.

This meal is so important. They don't have food at home so would go to school hungry, sometimes not having eaten supper the night before. A hungry child is not healthy and alert and does not do well in school. Many times if there is no food, they don't want to wake up at all and go to school.

Your gifts sent to "Food for Learning" mean hungry children will have food to eat. The last 2 months we have had to reduce the amount of money sent for food because, for several months, we sent more than we received and came to the end of the reserves. It has been hard for the pastors to stretch the money for food, but they continue to see God provide in miraculous ways.

Maybe you don't feel you can commit to sponsor one or more children, but you have a heart to give to the poor. Pray about giving to provide good food and nutrition for very poor children in the Philippines. You will find a link below that makes it easy to give your gift online.
