June 24, 2015. Do you know how to get wisdom and understanding? They, like gold and silver, may hide in mysterious places. Gold and silver are precious metals not easily found. They require searching and exploration. Sometimes they are easily found, but that is rare. Miners search in many places and the precious metals are found most often as a result of hard work and cunning exploration. Wisdom and understanding are much like gold and silver. Life is easier once they are found and operating.

June 24, 2015. You've heard it said that you can't see the forest for the trees. Well, this is true right now in your life. You are looking too closely at the small details and are too involved in the minutiae. Back off to see the whole picture. You are concentrating on how bad it is. These thoughts are foremost in your mind. I want you to be observing from a different perspective. Don't focus on the minutiae. Instead focus on the big picture. I want you to be concentrating on how good things are.

June 24, 2015. You hunger for more of Me and My ways. You are aware there is additional knowledge and information beyond what your eyes can see, your ears can hear and what your mind can comprehend. Can you wrap your heart and mind around the fact that humility is the key to My kingdoms pleasures? Especially concerning men, I want you to humble yourselves before Me and ask for directions. Your stinking pride has kept you from understanding and receiving more of Me. There is a cornucopia of abundant dining set before you.

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

God has hand-picked the pastors who care for the children He has given us. These men and women personally sacrifice much because of the love they have for the children. They give away their own food when hungry children knock on the door. They buy new underwear for children who never had any. They lead their churches to build houses for squatters. They plant gardens and give the food away to the poor. They make sure the children have what they need for school. They go to the schools and pay the fees. They buy the school supplies and distribute them. They buy school uniforms and shoes and anything else required. They open the doors of their homes for homeless children to live with them. 

Every sponsored child is assigned to one of these godly pastors. It is one of the things that makes the FCM sponsorship ministry unique.

 

Evelyn and Abraham Chiu

This week one of our pastors graduated to Heaven. The life of Evelyn Chiu, wife of Pastor Abraham Chiu, is being celebrated this week as her family and friends lay her body to rest. 

 

When we first met them, the Chius operated an orphanage. They told me about 2 sisters who had grown up there. They were orphaned as toddlers when radical Muslims attacked their home and killed their parents. The sisters had graduated from high school but could not go to college because there was not enough money available. They asked if we could help. One of our faithful partners agreed to sponsor the girls and help them go to college. Since then, we have sponsored many children who were assigned to the Chius, children who could not even go to elementary or high school without help.


The Chius have raised orphans along with their own children. I have visited their home, slept in their bed and eaten at their table. I've seen how they love children. Pray for Abraham and for their children and grandchildren and all those they have touched as they make the adjustment of life without Evelyn.


Pray for all the FCM pastors in the Philippines who care for and disciple the children God has given us. Without those pastors, we could not do what God has given us to do.
