March 5, 2015. Being courageous is important to you and God. He is aware of your struggles with losing courage at times. The Lord offers you rewards when you do the courageous thing. You are one of His soldiers. A good soldier is infused with a full load of courage because the needs for it will be great. You are destined to be a winner and an overcomer. But you can be sure that the devil will fight you every step of the way. Yet, your God will send mighty angels to fight with you.

March 5, 2015. Don't allow news which is less than good lodge in your mind. There is a reason the Gospel is good news. I specialize in good news. Yes, sometimes bad news comes, but do your best to look on the good side. Let it be like a coin with a head side and a tail side. There are both sides. You can concentrate on the tail side or on the head side. It is your choice. There will always be a positive and a negative. Concentrate and dwell on the positive.

March 5, 2015. Trust in Me and follow the Holy Spirit's gentle urging within your own spirit. He will not lead you astray. Have you been swayed by other people's  opinions? Don't allow yourself to be immobilized with fear. When it comes to a bystander on the side of the road or someone in need of help, don't be like a certain priest or temple assistant who looked the other way. You are a Christian for Christ's sake. If anyone should help it should be you. You are equipped like none other.

 

Luke 10:36-37 (NLT) "Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?" Jesus asked. The man replied, "The one who showed him mercy." Then Jesus said, "Yes, now go and do the same." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

This nutritional bowl of soup is vital for these children who never have enough to eat at home. They often come to the pastor's door hoping they will find some food to eat. The pastor said as long as they have any food in their house, they will give some to the children. When you send money to "Food for Learning" you put food in the bowls of these children and hundreds more like them. 

 

Here is a recent note from the pastor who feeds these and many more children: "We are feeding the sponsored children on school days wherein they and their siblings come to the house before school and get food for lunch. Those who have not eaten breakfast in their home will eat at our house. We are planting vegetables at the church to help for the feeding. We also feed children on Saturdays and having a Bible study for the kids."


You can help make sure this pastor always has food to offer the children who knock on the door.

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
