This young boy has no family and wears borrowed clothes. As I hugged him last Sunday morning at a church service in the Philippines, he did not return the hug as do most of the children. The pastor said he does not get hugs and does not know what to do. I held him like that for a while and silent tears began to run down his cheeks. My heart broke for him as I felt his loneliness. No little child should feel that way.

This child is not sponsored. We saw so many children who are desperate and needing a sponsor. As we've said before, there is a noticeable difference in the children who are sponsored. They have a sparkle about them that is not present in many others who still wait, hope and pray. We commented more than once that we could easily double the number of children sponsored if only the sponsors and money was there.

If you have ever considered sponsoring children, now is a good time. This school year ends in March in the Philippines so the pastors are looking ahead to next year. Pray about it. You, your church or your business can be used to change the lives of children forever.
