Thank you for praying for the team currently in the Philippines. This week they are meeting to bless and encourage the pastors who care for the sponsored children.

February 10, 2015. You are not an orphan. The devil lies to you that when Jesus left the earth, He left all believers as orphans. But the truth is that He left you as joint-heirs to all the Father has. He sent the Holy Spirit to forever and ever comfort, encourage, build you up and lead you to God's best. You are never without hope even if at times you don't feel or recognize the hope within. Then you spring forth like the beautiful crocus popping through the snow signaling the start of spring.

Psalm 10:17-18 (NLT) "LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so mere people can no longer terrify them." John 14:18 (NLT) 'No, I will not abandon you as orphans-I will come to you.'" Ras Robinson

February 10, 2015. We have a connecting line. It will remain throughout eternity. It will be different when we meet face to face, but we will still be believing in each other. Faith is the nutrient that feeds us both. I have faith in you to carry out what I say. You are now My body on the earth. You have faith in Me and I show you what, where, when and how to act. I have supplied you with the faith to do what I say. Rely totally, completely, fully on Me.

Hebrews 11:1 (MSG) "The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see." Bev Robinson

February 10, 2015. Through the course of time you've become coarse with your words and actions. It started off small, but as time went on the ill effects caused from callousness have left an ugly trail in its path. You let yourself go unchecked through not having accountability to anyone. You have been in dangerous territory. Recognize where you went wrong. Ask for forgiveness. Establish safeguards to prevent slip ups in the future. Though the way may be difficult ahead, humility will be the option you will have to choose to make progress.

1 Peter 5:5 (NLT) "In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

This is 12 year old Jose, one of our sponsored children in the Philippines. I remember the first time I saw him. He was happy with a big beautiful smile that captured my heart. I could tell he was very poor and did not have much hope for the future being any better. I went back a year later and he was wearing the same old t-shirt he was wearing the year before. It was the only one he had. I visited his home and my heart was pierced when I saw the conditions. I've seen homes of the poor before, but nothing like this one. We now sponsor 3 of the 4 children in this family. The whole family comes for breakfast at the church. Jose's mother helps cook and serve the food. Jose's older brother is in college, preparing to become an architect. All the family is active in the church.

When not in school, Jose helps his mother sell fresh fish they catch. He worries that when he is in school there will be no one to help his mother. But he knows education is the pathway out of the severe poverty of his family. So he is determined to go to school everyday and try his hardest to do well. He hopes to be a teacher some day.

Sponsoring these 3 children has given them a spark that was not there before. Thank you Partners, Sponsors and Friends who give so many children like Jose and his brother and sister can receive and, in turn, give to others.

Thank you for praying for our team of 4 who are currently in the Philippines. All of the pastors who care for our sponsored children are together in Tagbilaran City this week. It is a time of encouragement and equipping for some of the finest men and women we have met anywhere.

Remember, you can make an eternal impact on the life of a child or teen by sponsoring them and making education a reality. The cost is only $1 a day to change a life.
