One of our team member currently in the Philippines observed the spark in the  countenance of sponsored children that is absent in other children.  See below.

February 9, 2015. A new season is beginning. A harbinger is the strong and cold downdraft coming from God's holy mountain. It will come suddenly with shocking force. All that can be shaken will be shaken. The shaking is not the new season. But with it comes a testing of your faith. Will you panic and flee or will you stand strong, having believed. Some locusts have already begun to chew on you. These will suddenly be taken out to sea and die. As this new season begins, hide yourself in My word and I will build and strengthen your faith. Selah.

Matthew 14:31-33 (NLT) "Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. "You have so little faith," Jesus said. "Why did you doubt me?" When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. Then the disciples worshiped him. "You really are the Son of God!" they exclaimed." Ras Robinson

February 9, 2015. Prayers of the past are now being answered in a greater measure. You have understood in part and understanding is still mostly in part, but walk in the revelation you have at the present. More revelation is coming, but walk fully in what you now have. You've sought Me. You've trusted Me and now, Beloved, walk. You have the energy to get you where you are going. It is enough for now.  More strength will come as you begin. Keep walking with Me. It is the sure way of blessings.

Ephesians 1:16-19 (MSG) "I couldn't stop thanking God for you-every time I prayed, I'd think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask-ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory-to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him-endless energy, boundless strength!" February 9, 2015. You will fly high. Now resist the natural tendency to keep your hands on the yoke. When you relinquish control and place the plane on auto-pilot, then you're able to rest, relax and enjoy the ride. Much like flying, this is true in other aspects of your life. Your goal has been to maintain a firm grip to guarantee your desired destination. You will achieve your objectives, but at what cost. I know it is difficult to turn loose. Let Me take you places you've only dreamed of.

Psalm 91:2 (NLT) "This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him." Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

This is 12 year old Jose, one of our sponsored children in the Philippines. I remember the first time I saw him. He was happy with a big beautiful smile that captured my heart. I could tell he was very poor and did not have much hope for the future being any better. I went back a year later and he was wearing the same old t-shirt he was wearing the year before. It was the only one he had. I visited his home and my heart was pierced when I saw the conditions. I've seen homes of the poor before, but nothing like this one. We now sponsor 3 of the 4 children in this family. The whole family comes for breakfast at the church. Jose's mother helps cook and serve the food. Jose's older brother is in college, preparing to become an architect. All the family is active in the church.

When not in school, Jose helps his mother sell fresh fish they catch. He worries that when he is in school there will be no one to help his mother. But he knows education is the pathway out of the severe poverty of his family. So he is determined to go to school everyday and try his hardest to do well. He hopes to be a teacher some day.

Sponsoring these 3 children has given them a spark that was not there before. Thank you Partners, Sponsors and Friends who give so many children like Jose and his brother and sister can receive and, in turn, give to others.

Thank you for praying for our team of 4 who are currently in the Philippines. All of the pastors who care for our sponsored children will be coming together in Tagbilaran City this week. It will be a time of encouragement and equipping for some of the finest men and women we have met anywhere.

Remember, you can make an eternal impact on the life of a child or teen by sponsoring them and making education a reality. The cost is only $1 a day to change a life.
