T-shirts and bath towels and food were the favorite gifts received by the sponsored children and their families. One boy's request was that his father would recover from a stroke.
The sponsored children in this photo, as well as their siblings received Christmas gifts that made them very happy. In addition, groceries were given to each family. They wanted spaghetti for Christmas because they said they don't get to eat that kind of food very often. So each of the families received spaghetti, macaroni salad, ube jam, a loaf of bread and other favorites.
The donations you sent to provide Christmas for very poor children and their families in the Philippines made a lot of people very happy. Here are some notes regarding some of the children.
Valerio (age 20) is thankful that God hears the prayers of His people. The storm Seniang had no damage in our town last December 29 even if it was accompanied with a strong wind. He prayed really hard because they live near the coast. He loves the red t-shirt he received as a gift from FCM this Christmas.
Gezelle (age 16) is very happy to receive a big bath towel as a Christmas gift. She requested the towel because the whole family has only one towel for all the family.
Lourde Mae (age 16) loves the big blue thick bath towel as a gift from FCM. She expressed her gratitude to God because this is the first time ever that she received such a nice gift.
Queenie (age 14) is happy to receive a big bath towel this Christmas especially that she has never had her own personal towel.
Mary Rose (age 15) received a colorful big towel also this Christmas. She requested it because she belongs to a big family with not even one good towel. She especially wanted it because she takes her bath in a public water supply before going to school.
Shiela Mae (age 16) loves the blue t-shirt that she received as a Christmas gift from FCM.
Carlo (age 12) requested for Christmas that God will heal his father completely from a stroke
Nesbelle (age 8) loves the beautiful new blouse that she received from FCM this Christmas.
